Mr. Brett Laffien and Ms. Jennifer Pellegrino were married on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at half-past three in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The bride wore an Ines de Santo opal jacquard gown with a strapless corseted illusion back, an asymmetrical A-line skirt with slit and dramatic puff sleeves á la the British Regency. Joining the 17% of women choosing not to wear stark white or the more favorable and fashionable vory, Ms. Pellegrino met her groom in a gown with a peachy-pink lining overlain by the lightest opal jacquard flowers carefully sewn onto the palest blush sheer voile.
During their outdoor ceremony, the jacquard caught the warm sunlight of the summer afternoon to appear gilded. The groom wore a classic Italian tux with satin lapels and piping. His decoration was simple. A black bowtie and an ivory boutonniere, every bit a gentleman. Four bridesmaids were in line wearing pale gold Jenny Yoo gowns: the bride’s long-time friend and maid of honor, Katherine Madrid; a cousin, Katelyn Mastroberti; a sister-in-law, Crystal Pellegrino, and the grooms sister, Sabrina Francis.
The groom was flanked on his left side by his best man, Christopher De La Cruz; his brother, Blake Laffien; and the bride’s brothers, Joseph Pellegrino and Jordan Pellegrino.
Bo Renes acted as officiant.
